Building on Investment

Labour market forecasts for the next decade predict that 1 out of 4 jobs will be filled by immigrants. Through funding from Alberta Human Services, AWES developed training to help managers access the skills and experience that immigrants bring to the workforce. AWES produced and piloted two campaigns to this end:  Working with Newcomers: Tips for culturally-diverse Canadian organizations; and, Giving Safety Talks: A Guide for the construction sector.  In addition, AWES partnered with Anthony and Holmes Consulting to develop an EWP Best Practices practitioners’ guide.
